16a 1st 3 wds form definition; same word divided into 2 wd indicate divorce (or at least an action prior to it). Your S should be an A, though.

For 21a I'm afraid I've forgotten the answer, but I imagine at least one of your letters must be wrong. Perhaps someone else can help out?
