Where is everyone? Still working on some of the clues like me?
I'm bringing this to the top as I am hoping for a hint for 6a. I'm sure I have the second word.
BTW Loved 19d and 48d but there were many other good ones.

To expound further:
Grant is an example of one definition; the other is something to do with governing the Netherlands.

Hi Bobsmum, Glad you're still about. I only have a few left to do and will have to await the wordplay for the ones I have semi-parsed. If you have worked out the theme it does help to solve a few more.

I agree, rossim - 2 or 3 I got more from the theme than the clue.
