Congratulations and well done to Les40, amongst some splendid clues (I particularly enjoyed Aristophanes' entry at post number 21).

Also thanks to Bigbadmarty2 for the acknowledgement of one of my clues, It is much appreciated.

With regard "Oh saucy Worcester", I seem to remember it in "Beyond The Fringe"

@chrise -being from this part of the the uk I was rather hoping for a "NE-type" reference !

Apologies it is customary to quote the winning effort

Northern jaguar swallowed up sea monster like a saber-toothed tiger (9)

also many thanks to Miss M for a great job x

and to everyone taking part - "You've all done very well .."

Congrats once again, Les, and thank you, bbm2, not only for the unusual word but also for reminding us of that great genius, Peter Sellers.

Congratulations, Les, for an excellent clue among excellent clues (I thought therogue's "sort with no breeding" was an especially nice touch). Thanks to BigBad for the clip and the mention, and to samgam for the kind acknowledgement.

Wow! Thanks a lot Marty, surprised I won with so many great efforts amongst the entries. I spotted 'E-Type' quite early (never even thought of 'NE-Type' which could have incorporated you my friend)
Lovely clip, I love Sellers and can remember him passing away cus he was a favourite of my dads, I was young then though.
Looking forward to next week's word choice.

Be cool and have you got a license for that Minky
