If you meant you spelt 22D wrongly, lynbejack, I did the same! Maybe that's why 23A is proving difficult to some. I have it down as an equal legal pairing, teenieleek.

Oops, 23 needs a "y" third from the end and I have an "i". Am I wrong somewhere?

I have the legal pair but that has a Y and the tower/engineer has an I. Have I got the wrong engineer?

It's something and drum, two letter word for provided and two letter symbol for a metal.

The first word is reversed, and no instruction to do this but still think it's probably right.
