Ah, does the grid have redundant words, I had Masoning and have been trying to find a Norwegian link to it. I haven't got the crossword so didn't know.

I can see 'stable', firm - but I can't see how the clue works.

For those who don't have the magazine, there may be an extra word in the clue.

Re-folding is extra word but don't see why stable either.

I'd thought 'refolding' might be extra, but I couldn't settle on it until I knew how 'stable' worked. It all makes sense now.
