All 5 correct, I presume (or at least the same as Tony's!). See you all again later.

I typed antimetabole into Microsoft Works Word Processor a few seconds ago, and, again, it automatically changed it to inimitable. Has anyone else seen this type of problem? I always type my answers into MWWP and copy and paste. I will cease to do that from now on !

Ah. My son just told me I have to turn off "autocorrect". I didn't even know it was there :(
Problem solved, I hope.

Had to run out again and missed the gong. Ditto andyc's and tony's answers.

Hi also to Ari, Tony, GK and Mary6. Yep! Andyc and Tony 5/5 (incl Ari). I'll append my own working although there's no need. Hope you enjoyed today's offering. I'm a bit behind schedule today - trying to get the garden work completed before I'm 'grounded' after Thursday's op. Thanks a lot for the good wishes.. I'll take a further peek in after the usual 7 courses.

1. France = F (IVR); counts = tots; France “counts” out = to(F)ts = TOFTS = homesteads {hist} (Chambers)

2. subtractive anagram (having removed and doctor) of “Clarke hit papa” – “ a part” = KEPHALIC = cephalic = of the head (Chambers)

3. drunk = high; Andrew = Andy; power = might; high + And(might)y = HIGH AND MIGHTY = arrogant (Chambers).

4. normal anagram (translated) of “into Matabele) = antimetabole (“look it up”)

5. Releases = frees; British Standards = BSI; “turning” = IBS; yielding FRISBEES = flying saucers?
