hi ChrisE, i think you can change the google language in the address bar.
if it says
https://www.google.de/
then change the 'de' to either 'com' or 'co.uk' (or 'fr' if you want French for example).
i don't know how to make it use English automatically from other territories but if you made it your home page it is kinda workable.
