Hi everyone. Struggled this week with top left corner but finally got there. Confused for a long time because got stuck on wrong type of mule in12a. Enjoying sunshine here today too.

I see two pesticides are being banned for two years because they cause brain damage to bees. So that's why I can't do this puzzle!

Thanks again! As I'm not religious (to put it mildly) I had completely forgotten that Francis. The penny has finally dropped on the meaning of carrot. I've even been going through "the Vegetable and Herb Expert" looking for varieties. Durrrrrrr. I thought 13a was very obscure; I could have done with Wee Jock's advice on that.
