Quite right, jazzy. Unfortunately my copy has still not arrived, so I was not in a position to give indirect help. Sorry!

OK gk. The disadvantage of looking for answers is that you may inadvertently see answers to other questions that you did not want to see. There is no satisfaction or joy in that. I would prefer to spend an hour or two racking my brain. x

I found your reply this morning, a nice sunny one too.! I couldn't get my mind away from that black chair of Magnus 'Mags'..John Humphreys now of course..for 13a I mean.! Happy gardening.!

After googling, I'm confused: if a certain TV prog. is meant that I've never seen, it kind of overlaps with another answer given for 13 DOWN: will all become clear when I see the clue properly? Is this coincidence, or has there been an error somewhere? I'm not familiar with such household names in the UK any longer, having lived abroad for "too long". HELP ! (or a little hint at least, please...)

Hi GK. There is no 13a, only 13d which is the TV programme. Clue is: Beam and maybe cheer before fine TV programme. A synonym for "beam" is needed first .

Thank you, jazzy.
So the MasterMIND connection is purely coincidental?
