Letters in place are correct...word for rage around frozen stuff, the "L" of which requires to be moved...quite a nice clue I thought.

One loose end. Got the answer to 10ac, but can't quite see the word progression. I'm OK up to "narrow" (I think) but can't see how you get from there to "chapel". Can anyone help?

Just change the first letter to a vowel (name of a chapel)!

I had reservations about that one also peterm...it's a pentecostal church...maybe chapel used as an adjective meaning "non-conformist"?

15A starts with a homophone

That should get you moving...difficult to hint at the theme without giving too much away.

ta ixion, for your pointers. got most while waiting. got the theme ok and finished the job. concerned that 11a not "exactly" quite like the rest. do you agree or am i wrong?
