Assuming the answer is Italy, but not sure of the parsing. Can anyone shed light?

L = left (in river) Tay

The flower(river) is the TAY - with l(left)inside and i in front

I for one, then L in TAY for flower.

FLOWER BEING RIVER (SOMETHING THAT FLOWS)

The only one that foxes me was 5d. Never heard of this word, it wasn't in either of my dictionaries, thank goodness for Quick Solve!!!!

Thanks everyone - I had somehow forgotten the flower/river connection.
I liked 2 down by the way - but then I liked the Paul one with the Mary Poppins soundalike quote.
