I too would not participate in an evening game as my family come in for dinner etc.

However, looking at times that people post between 7 and midnight seems lively.

As regards to a drive, i was wondering if we just go onto other threads that r open at the same time and explain the game in brief and asking people if they would like to join in - emphasis on fun, rather than on stress of 'getting a perfect clue'

Honestly it's just started snowing again here Ugh

Hello, I have looked at "Clue Chain" since I joined this great forum, but the time difference has been an issue, ( as well as the obvious skills shown) Is there a way that the time frame can be extended so others can be enticed to join in? I for one would like to be involved and I have managed to identify a few others from "this side of the world" that may be enticed to participate.
Who knows?.....keep up the effort.
Best regards.

Excellent busby, i do not know where u r in the world or what time difference there is. this is why i wondered if an evening/night ie yr day would help. does the time difference impact greatly to you popping in to Monday afternoons CC?

Good Morning

I am a perfect example of not having the expertise for the perfect clue - re dark chocolate on Monday - but it is the only way to improve and to realise you are not in a competition but there to have fun. You learn from other entries and I have never received any negative comments on the forum - though privately they may be many sighs. x

Hi Bobs Mum, I'm an Aussie, that means I'm eleven hours in front of English time (and fifteen years behind). So when I vote on "Peer review" I get up at 4.30 am. There are at least 2 other "Aussies" and 1 Kiwi that I am aware of that are involved with this forum. "Kiwikid" has joined "Peer Review" this time and will hopefully continue. This a great forum. The competitions that are run have greatly improved my limited "cryptic" skills and I hope to be able to entice others to join in.

Morning emrach,
i thought dark chocolate was a good clue and it had the groan factor when the penny dropped --- have u any suggestions to start getting others involved ??

Hi busby, shouldn't u be in bed by now???? Time differences have always made me go a bit boggled eyed trying to work them out --- try and pop in if u have a bout of insomnia on Mondays and maybe u could start a similar game for the aussis

Perpetual Clue Chain is still there with its simpler rules and no time restrictions if anybody wants to post a clue. If there's no response the intro suggests you post the answer and log off.

Hi Bobs Mum it was ChrisE who encouraged me to give it a go. I will give it some thought. As for Busby having to get up at 4.30 am to vote thats dedication. So - and apologies in advance to admin - I was wondering if there could be a drop box or what ever it is called where people could leave their votes which could be accessed or even just to leave a post and to trust the rest of us not look ! Maybe I am just complicating things x

Thanks for your suggestion Emrach but if I did that I may cast a vote before all the entries are in and that would not be fair to all. If I want to join in then I need to make allowances. If time frames were extended then it may make these competitions more appealing to others living elsewhere. Best rgds.
