The latter word begins where the former
one ends in the grid.

Sorry, there's only TWO spaces in the
middle of the second word and not THREE!

It is Gaelic

'N' (noun) is rendered (given up from) anagram of Anglice
And it's a sort of &lit explanation from the surface reading as the word Gaelic is a proper noun

have seen that one! That means that the
4-lettered one going down now begins with
"G" and ends with "G".
