Hi jazzy
Yes, iron is FE yet again.
17d think homophone
21a is a partial anagram
I thought this one was pretty easy, except for 22ac, which is a bit loose.

Only received it this minute, but I think you must have 19a wrong , as 17d surely must be the usual pun on rough/route (homophone);and 21a is simply the adj. meaning "of bishops", beginning with an anag. of copies!
Keep tuned in: I may need some help from you!

Before you both disappear (prob. to jolan?), I need a little hint for 22a & 13d (a name? not my forte!);and
btw we misunderstood one another on 17d/19a: no prob. there!

22a is an island (and also the first 5 letters of a word meaning "changeable" ) Not a good clue I think

13a a synonym for a VIP (anagram)
