Hi devonian
After yesterday's update the posts are listed in reverse order - as you will see, this has advantages and disadvantages.
I have a different letter in 18ac as I have gone for a TV programme rather than radio for 13dn, though I confess I haven't fully explained my answer.

If you're right, chrisg, then I must have 24a wrong: thought it was a famous Greek. The "unconventional news programme" is probably unknown to me, living abroad as I do.
Also, stuck on parsing of 17a (noisy bypass) & of 16a (woman loses plug), assuming I have the correct solutions (17 def. problem, 16 def. completely).
Help!
