I think I have finished, but I'm not sure about 1dn:

I have a solution that partly works, but I don't see where my first letter comes from.
(As is traditional, I don't want to give an answer - correct or incorrect! - on this thread.)

I struggled with parsing 1d...I think it is a shortened version of a hyphenated word reversed

@ the two chris's/chrises (?!): can you give us the crossers? Haven't received my copy yet. I can see an answer -- I think it's a different one -- which more or less parses, but I don't find it perfect.

I agree with 1dn. as I aman educated man (ha! ha!) I thought that it mighr be a slang term
I have difficult6y with 5dn, unless it's a knitting term,but then not a good clue

Do you mean 4dn, wally? I know the knitting term - I'm afraid I just assumed it also had the required meaning.

I've just done 4d. Yes a knitting stitch, but also a fancy edge on lace. Still have a few to do, but will keep at it.
