Agreed 24 is a bit problematical - works as (r)egret dropping crest if defn. part is in the middle.

New to this forum so bear with me.
I solved my version of this Genius some time ago but never really parsed my answer to 23A H?A?. I entered Heap, which although another word for bundle, I never worked out what "the aforementioned" was all about.
Anyone care to explain please?

Kixie, I think 23A is one of the 8 requiring a S14A...contained in "the aforementioned".

Answer is hidden in the clue - then you need to do an s-14a to get the bundle

Thnx folks. I had thought of a hidden answer and switching f to m but rejected it because I couldn't justify the word as meaning bundle. Does it?
I had also thought I used my 8 switches but had obviously counted the double switch in one clue as two when I should have counted it as one.

Thnx Prospero

What a wally. How could I go through all the rest of the crossword correctly making all the required switches and then still not see the obvious with this clue.

Great crossword and all done bar 14 down - a nudge would be welcome as it's really bugging me. Is it an obscure Pacific island?

It's a Pacific island that I'd never heard of before. Not sure whether that makes it obscure.
