Hullo all - all this talk of food is making me hungry - Sunny afternoon here after torrential rain this am - hope it clears soon for the remainder of the country. Its always the short words that catch me out - 8a -t-a- 'Flog bits from the east?' I can get strap for flog but can't interpret the clue & 1d I've got -p-a-'second to top. say

Devonian. Hi! 1d is `speak` but like you I can`t get 8ac ( couple of others, too!) M.

8a if you look at the answer (strap) from the east (right hand side) then it reads parts backward (bits)
