17d a synonym for loose/limp or floppy. (animal is 4 (reversed) + 3 letters for the police dept.
22a "grow weary" (also this is American spelling of a word for covering of a wheel)

I thought it was pretty easy this week, but I'm not happy about the definition part of 6ac Erratic disco amps pulled out (9)
What do others think?

Spasmodic = erratic ok but I don't think pulled out is a very good anagrind.

It works better than the way I had read it - erratic as the anagrind and pulled out as the definition!

I disagree. I'm quite happy with the use of "pulled out" as an anagrind but, like chrise,I'm not happy with the definition.

Chambers Crossword dictionary does give erratic as a synonym of the solution, but I don't think they mean the same.

PS - did you have to give the solutionr ?

It was easily solvable though.
