Thanks both of you. 38ac is blazon. Take yes away from lazybones and jumble. Has anyone got an answer for 7dn. Empty bierkeller, maybe one character seen there regularly. (4)

Cheers for 38ac - 7dn I have bare - seems to work as bar (bierkeller) + e (seen regularly in bierkeller - every 3rd letter)

4 and 36 I have answers but not explanations - 1dn I'm happy with - 1ac less so *though confident with the answer) - Trying to piece it altogether now

I now have 1 down - laiks - drop s in LASIK. I'm happy with 1ac - literal - although it's a bit of a weak clue.

Am now happy with 36dn with the meaning of fine being musical for the end definition duds
