I think the puzzle was easier this week because so many of the longest answers were anagrams.
Jazzgirl - I got going early because on Tuesday mornings i have a cleaner. I can relax while she does the work! Puts me right off when the RT comes on a different day.

ChrisE, so that is why "Bacardi & coke" has the effect of getting one tipsy quicker. (not that I drink it now) I have some "Dark Rum" in the kitchen store,solely used for one of my fav. desserts "flambed bananas".

14d you have the lettes wrong in the second word .
Boudicea would have travelled along one of these (after the Italians had built them when they invaded)

Evening & good health to all. I've been getting preserved in alcohol for decades; also like Nelson I get sea-sick. I had BAROMETRY for 1d, but this must be wrong. Any hints please?

I think I was being a little short-sighted on this one. I think it's the science that would only have charged Nelson half price.
Now just 7A to sort.

One last thought while I'm talking to myself. What does "time" refer to in 22A.
