Can anyone give a hint at least on the following: C(second clue), G & J (both),and T. I also have the feeling that in X the definition has been left out! With a little help I could then start puzzling the whole thing together!

Both of the "C"s are spaces - however I haven't yet got much further. Ithink the G is "George", but I would appreciate also hints of how to continue.

Goerge is correct - he's a composer - that should help you with the other long one

Thanks, sudokulover. Contemporary composers, indeed. I assume there's an anagram there, but I can't be bothered to try to work it out.

The 2 long ones are in fact an anagram of a whole series of words in that combined clue!
Despite the difficulties I was glad to do another Araucaria at last after several disappointing & frustrating Sat. G. efforts!
And by the way the definition for X really has been forgotten!Good luck to everybody!

Yes it has been forgotten, greedy kite - worried me for a while. Lovely alphabet puzzle, though. Now I can get a cup of coffee!

One left - the 6-letter W. The clue is "Little goes through water hole". I have W?E?E?.
It's not "weewee" is it?

No, not weewee. The "through" is significant
