Thanks Navigator Once I realised it must refer to a Greek soldier`s skirt I found it. I hope you feeling reasonably well after the chemo. M.

Good afternoon all,

Happy Valentine's Day! It would seem that we've all made light work of this puzzle and Navigator, in particular, has come scorching out of his blocks. Well done, Sir!

Jazzgirl, I actually completed the crossword while having my lunch so, as you can probably guess, I didn't have company...

With best wishes to you all,

Caravaggio

Hi All, and for those celebrating with their significant others, I hope you all have a lovely evening....
Gosh, I must be in the remedial class- I've finally finished but did resort to a teeny bit of 'cheating'
Well done, Navigator - I hope the chemo continues to do its sterling work both on your body and your brain!! and you make a full recovery.
I must confess I have completed the puzzle in the morning [after, that is...]
Best wishes to everyone and take care.
Hope OldGal, JazzGirl, Carravagio, Magworth, et al are all thriving
Cheers
Chris

Hi
Can anyone help me with 6 down:
Irish greeting on banner I unfurl (9)
_ I _ E _ N _ A _
I'm assuming it's an anagram of "on banner I" but don't seem able to find the answer!
Thanks in advance

Hi navigator, I hope you're felling better than could be expected.
I see you're all finding it easy this week; just me being fick then!
I can't get 11A and don't understand the answer I have for 20D. Clues please!

Hi Bees.
11a is an anagram of the 13th letter
of the Greek alphabet plus l-i-c-e. The answer means centres.
20d - take 5 consecutive letters backward
from the clue.I'm not entirely happy that
the answer really matches the clue.

Hi, Folks.

Hope you are all well. I started this one with my usual feeling of dismay, but as I got the occasional easy answer, the rest started to fall into place, and finished it in about an hour.

Having said that, I did have to cheat a bit with 7 across. Not a word that is likely to trip of my tongue in the average conversation.

Good news of the week is that I have won my second Wee Stinker T Shirt in the Herald. Bad news of the week is that my Jaguar has decided not to start. All my suggestions about carburettors and distributor caps were patiently listened to, and I was advised that we don't use these things any more. I took the hint and left the man to get on with his work.

Hope you are all well and looking forward to spring.

Best wishes.

Hello everyone and a special hug to Navigator! Hope you get as good a result from the treatment as I did - yay!!! The scan showed no signs of the cancer but - talk about giving with one hand and taking with the other - I have a Tarkov cyst in my pelvic bone. My doctor had to look it up on the internet! Anyway - have got rid of that awful chemo taste and am starting to enjoy life again. Have completed about half of the crossword but have several hints from you lovely people to follow up. Could do with some further clues to 5d though. Best wishes to all especial the people not in good health.
