Am I the only one struggling to complete then? 3 dn, Nothing better than a good stuffing if youre this?(6)Presume from above post that must be meagre but why?

Also stuck on all the four letter answers (except the colour) and 8 across.

A few clues still elude me, in particular 8 across and 1 down.
Please, someone, give me a couple of hints

24a quid qui = french for who + d(first of devalue)
24d quiz - angaram of quartzite without treat

3d yes meagre - mere (nothing better) a g(good) stuffed inside

1d tailored tailed - followed with or (gold) inside
to tailor something is to adapt it 15a adapted

Lumen - 3dn is meagre. Nothing better = mere. A G(ood) inserted. Meagre = "having little flesh".

Thanks. As you are so expert at cryptic corsswords do you really love sudoku? (which I find dull in the extreme, sorry).

Yes I do love sudoku particularly the "killer" variety where you are given the totals of various cell combinations.

Struggling with todays Killer too! But I gave up regular Sudoku years ago.

This bloody puzzle is still making my brain hurt !

I presume 10a is BLUE but how does that fit with "Ball used to appear in odd places"

and

12a...."Circle line"...?R?N?E. Again I presume this is ORANGE but why ?
