I spent three years at university in Leeds during the 1960's and met my wife there (she was training to be a nurse at Leeds General Infirmary) even though she was from Warrington (since moved from Lancashire to Cheshire). We still have several friends spread around Yorkshire and visit there reasonably frequently). I will always have a soft spot for Leeds (West Riding)!
