Re Post 26: Thanks Karen. I hadn't thought of 'say' being a link to another word of similar meaning and then having to work out the anagram. Didn't stop me from guessing the right answer though! And no, your post was in no way confusing. TCx
My interpretation of 1d is slightly different in that it doesn't require an anagram. I'll try and explain it without giving any more away than has already been provided in previous posts.
Say = state with a word to run fast (backwards)around the word state.
