Have 5 to do and think the I know the answers but interested in someone explaining the logic.

6d - Short account? Sure, that could be challenged (11) CONTESTABLE
30D - The first person to restrict one (female)? WIFE
36a - Giving maximum power, when connected on both sides (4-7) FULL-BLOODED
36d - Violence around home delivered by little fellow, say (3,8) FOR INSTANCE
44a - Frustrating plot - bit of a game associated wtih this writer (11) COUNTERMINE

Not even sure I have the right answer for the last one?

One = i
Female = f
only snag is definition missing?

36d Violence = Force
Home = in
Little fellow = stan

Bit of a game = Counter (small plastic item)

Associated with writer = mine

The whole clue is the definition (sometimes indicated by a question mark at the end). Not a great definition. I must admit.

Full blooded also means unmixed ancestry
