If the clue was Apparitions, the answer could be Ghosts

no the clue is applications.......i was wondering if it could be something related to computers...

There doesn't seem to be a word that fits these letters. Have you checked if any of the letters could be wrong from your other clues? Is this a cryptic crossword?

no.this is not a cryptic clue.i think the last letter may be wrong...everything else is right

The Clue "applications" suggests the answer should end in "S" (being plural).
Are you certain that the answer starts with GH ?
Could it be CH ? in which case the answer could be "CHARTS" linked, as you suggested to computer aplications.
