thank you I knew there were only two or three possibilities but am too thick to understand why it should be cyst are you able to explain it for me - think I'll go back to the Guardian it always used to be amusing to do - not so The Times I find

carr empty is cy. st is for road - so - cy on st

road - street - st
above st is the word CarrY(emptied)=CY.
A cyst is a bag full of pus + stuff (4 x mas)
