It's an anagram of "are" giving a word for "stage".

25 down - part of the name of a famous football ground.

Sorry to have to follow up but 28 seems a terrible clue. What is the definition? I can’t make ear or era fit the answer. Also I have ??ME?IDE for the place which I just can’t get even with reference to a football ground.

A word for stage is an anagram of 'era'
Apologies - I looked at 26 rather than 25. It's difficult to give a hint for that. Opposite of 'wild' + a word for flank.

Thanks again. I have 25 now but I still find 28 a very odd clue.

Stress Mark, way of showing emphasis. S and K, first letters/origins of Sir and Keir and 'starmers', anagrammed.

I give in! 9D. Is it meant to be HAWAIIANS or something? So A1 in empty HAMPERS (HS). Then a gratin dish? Point me in the right direction, please.
