Hi AJT

I've cracked this one ~ Araucaria at his best I reckon and it doesn't get better than that (IMO)

Need any hints?

Not yet, thanks. I seem to have all of the words, but unless there are some that don't fit into the grid I can't connect them

Have you realised that there are 24 6-letter words in the 'chain', only 12 of which belong in the grid (ie alternate ones.)

Thanks JS - I think that's what I meant by some missing. I think I've almost finished it, then. I didn't read the preamble properly.

Some great clues(particularly liked 7D) - had same prob as you AJT until I realised one of my answers couldn't fit in the grid and was "concealed".

On reviewing my answers I'm not entirely happy with definition of concealed link word 24A/21D - seems to be shared with link between 21D/12A?

Again, the first three letters of my 5ac seem to connect wth the first three letters of 22 ac to make the first part of the answer for 22 ac - can't be right.
