I think 7 down is old school but I can't parse the clue "Eton, for many a peer getting on coach"

'Getting on' - old
'Coach' - school

Lots of MPs went to Eton so it all hangs together.

Ahh thanks! I couldn't get coach = school, I often forget that what apparently is a noun might actually be a verb.

I thought belly up. B for bishop and an anagram of pulley.

While I’ m here, I’m stuck on 14d Ann Widdecombe finally in the shit spiteful thing. I’ve got m?a?n?s? ‘Meanness’ fits but I can’t parse it. Also 18a Lord Owen’s initial drunken drivel. I’ve got d?o?l drool or droll fits but again, can’t parse. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
