Hello everyone. Please can anyone help with the parsing of 19d?

Book vault bare after November (7). N - V - L - A

Answer looks like NOVELLA (= book). Presumably NOVEMBER is the N at the beginning (as in the NATO alphabet), but how does the rest of it work?

NOV then undressed CELLAR (vault).

Thanks. Another bloody deletion! No wonder I couldn't solve it!

I have a problem with one of the long answers ("18 Across), the clue for which is:- "Perhaps be prone as a carpenter to accept results of one's own deeds" and I can only fit in "Lie on his bed and he's made" - surely that shoud be "THAT he's made"?

I think the “i” you have which comes from 5d is wrong. The other crossers seem ok.

My mistake, Jono. 5D is "outright", which makes "Lie on THE bed and he's made"- but shouldn't that still be "THAT he's made"?

I had “lie in the bed one has made”.

Though I don’t like because “one” is in the clue and the solution.

Thanks for that! I need to change "and he's" to "one has"!! Blimey, I didn't see that!

I had it as a back formation from "you make your bed and you have to lie in it"
