Not too much of a struggle this week. Once again, if you spot the theme early and have access to Brewer, filling in the unclued solutions is a piece of cake. Rather more of a challenge if you need to hunt around on the web.

“Verifiable in Brewer” are quickly becoming words that strike terror into the hearts of solvers who lack the required tome.

Lacking Brewer, Chambers came to my rescue - though I now see the theme words are also in Bradford's.

Having said that, there are some lovely clues. I particularly liked the misdirection in 34A, and I actually chuckled out loud at the totally unexpected anagram in one of the longer down clues.

Nice to see Fire back again. Fire is Danish for four and is a collaboration of four setters: Emma, Judith, Katherine and Anisa.
