"Composer's right tucking into case of vintage port". (2,5)

I have the answer as Le Havre = port.
Case of vintage =VE (?)
Composer = Lehar

Can't quite parse as right should be R but then there would be two Rs.

Elucidation much appreciated thanks in advance.

The right (R) of Lehar is tucked into the V and E

I believe the idea is that the composer and the case of vintage overlap, so the R (right of Lehar) tucks inside the VE, so you have LE HA V R E

My problem is with 17D

Maybe chop chop with these tips for minimising expenses and charges. (8)

_ E _ T _ X _ S

I can see an 'ax' in there for one 'chop' and a 't' and an 'e' for 'these tips' but after that I'm stumped. Any suggestions?

I thought it must be MEAT-AXES. Tips for M(inimising) E(xpenses) A(nd) then taxes, charges. “Maybe chop chop with these” is the definition

17d. A bit disappointed with this clue. I thought "meat axes" should either be two words or hyphenated.

I’m sure that’s correct Quisling, not a term I’d heard but Chambers gives it as a “cleaver”.
