All answers are famous roads, streets, squares around the world,

37, Scouse cartoonist Groaning to chop good man before golf peg returns. (7-6)
39, Welsh vote he turns - by 3 points. ( 3-3-8)

the rest of the answers in this section are in the UK.

For the first I'd guess MATHEW ST(r)EET (taking 'Scouse' to suggest a Liverpool location) because there's an American cartoonist called maTt groEning - although Mathew Street (where the real Cavern Club used to be) only has one 't'. Then you have 'cut' = HEW and EET (returning 'tee' for the golf peg) after ST ('good man') but there's no indication anywhere for the 'r' of stReet.
I've put some capitals where my version differs from what you've written - and my letter count is wrong too, of course.
Are there any anomalies in the other clues you've solved? If not, I'd probably ignore the above.

37 looks like it should be Mathew Street, the Liverpool road where the Cavern Club is. But the clue doesn’t quite work. That would be 6,6. However, it is Scouse, Matt (Groening) is the cartoonist of Simpsons fame + Hew is chop + St is saint and eet is tee, golf peg reversed. So it’s also missing an R, and Groening is misspelt. Otherwise it’s perfect 🤔

The other one looks like “the evo triangle” (a driving route in Wales).

Yes, there's quite an eerie correlation there, brendan (and the timing couldn't have been closer}.

Thank you, quisling, drxx and Jono. Yes, there are a couple of
iffy letter counts & anagrams that don't quite fit, but the essence of the answer looks correct.

Exactly Drxx,

Not only are the times identical but you both mention the Cavern Club, Matt Groening and the missing R in 'street' - it really did strike me as wieird!
