Being a Listener fan needing a midweek fix, I found AZED 2737 online to try. A fairly quick but challenging grid fill. But what now? Is there an endgame like Listeners? No preamble. What is the significance of the asterisk on 15a? Does the title mean anything?

It’s just yet another plain puzzle from Azed. There is no end game. The number of special crosswords has now decreased significantly to only one every 12 or so weeks. Such a shame.

Azed 2737 is a Competition Puzzle. The asterisk indicates that you must submit your own clue for that entry (only a definition is given in the printed version) together with the completed grid.
