15a Event with medium coverage vacuously introduced by Mr Bean on TV (6), 20a Remark's caught you shouldn't have to write down (6), 24a Taking up arms - gun before it recoils in long shot (9) and 14d Renaissance man's gift - spinning toy, but not top (9). Are the answers Seance, Notate, Revolting and Donatello? If so, I need help with parsing, please.

All correct.

Seance is an event with medium. C(overag)e vacuously is CE. Sean (Bean) is a TV actor.

You shouldn’t have is TA, thank you, caught by NOTE.

Gun (as in an engine) is REV, then IT reversed in an anagram, ie shot, of LONG

DONATE is gift, on top of toy, (D)OLL reversed

In 2dn they have used spitting image to give double.
Strictly speaking the phrase is spittten image, spitting image was the TV program.

16d Remark when leaving base with no cover provided (2,4,2)
Could be 'so long as' = provided but I can't parse it.

Provided is the definition. “So long” is remark when leaving, and “as” is b(as)e with no cover
