Hi. I've subscribed to The Independent but can't find the Inquisitor crossword in the online version. Can anyone help please?
Thanks
Judith

I get the Inquisitor in the paper copy of the 'i' on Saturday - is the Independent the same as that, or are they different publications?

I think that they are different. I pay £60 pa for the I online. I email it from my phone and can then see newspaper on my laptop. I then print the Inquisitor at A4 size. Actually very good value for the daily and weekend newspapers.

Thanks, bobbycollins. I lost track of the changes of ownership, how the 'i' came into being and so on.

The Indy and i used to be sister papers, then the i was sold the to the Daily Mail group I think. The Independent went ‘online only’ several years ago.

I hear the Guardian is talking about selling the Observer, home to Azed and Everyman. I don’t doubt that they would survive even if they have to move to the Guardian, though the Guardian doesn’t have a Sunday paper, so they would need another slot during the week or also go online only.

Crosswords are necessarily tied into the newspaper business I suppose.

An alternative to multiple subscriptions is to use the Press Reader App. Although the Times and Telegraph are not available through the app, the Telegraph Sunday Puzzles supplement is, as is the i weekend, so both the EV and IQ can be screen shotted and printed. Many local public library services support Press Reader and if you are a library member in a supporting area it has the additional advantage of being free to use. And if you are travelling, your daily paper is still immediately available - I fondly remember reading the latest edition of the Observer over breakfast in Irkutsk…
