I have not recently been looking regularly at the Times daily cryptic, but I regret the demise of the quirky policy which avoids the name of a deceased person as a solution.

However, today we have

Double served with beer for Glastonbury star (3, 4)

I got the answer from - - A - I -A

Does anyone here know if this is the first example of a living person as a solution? Ignore the previous error made with GISCARD D'ESTAING.

It may the the first example of a full name as a solution. The puzzle on 24 Sep had two references to living people:

Rod possibly set out to cover two opposing points (7)

STEWART

Abrasive meeting of Premier League manager and directors? (5,5)

EMERY BOARD

Referring, of course, to the singer and the Aston Villa manager
