But can someone help explain the reasoning behind it?

Yankee= Y
ARAB thoruoghbred up/backwards?

Seems a bit dodgy to me...

Isn't it Capybara? Cap,do better than, Y. Yankee and Bara is Arab, throughbred reversed (put up).
