Thanks for all your entries but as I mentioned when first posting I won't be able to give this due consideration until later (hopefully this evening) so if the Peer Review host wants to post, feel free. As I only have internet access via my phone I'd appreciate someone Excel proficient updating the sheet as it's not straightforward from here.

Don't worry about the word list Ginge. Three elves look after it. Jono, Buddy and Dorrien.😇

Thanks dorrien.
Apologies for the delay and thanks for your patience. Just waiting to be discharged so should be home early afternoon when I'll give this my immediate attention. Had to spend the night in hospital wired up for various tests and observation but I (wrongly) thought I would have had the chance to deal with this.

Thanks for all your entries, to what I thought would have been a difficult word to clue, with an impressive wide range of devices employed, bravo. There was merit in all clues but as usual it's not practical to comment on them all. I did expect to see some reference to a succubus mutant but some or all of the 3 "c"s were imaginatively sourced by amej's speed of light, buddy's Commander in Chief, jono's confined to camp, sam's CCS and geting's soccer center. Other touches I like are tyke's (cut) to the point, paul's out of the box "this", jono's Latin next/following, wil's last letter removals and raffles's scratch their hole. Aristo's clues are always well thought out and this byzantine effort no exception. I also enjoyed "researching" Eva Longoria. I've swithered over paul @ 12 and as much as I admire the attempt it doesn't quite come together for me. However, this weeks podium
bronze: fiery's homophones @ 23
silver: geting's (legal) brief @ 7
this week's gold: dorrien @ 14

Concise as initially some undercover cops certify in court

Two protagonists who are normally anything but succinct; Bernard to the rescue.
