Anyone know 41 across phrase unnecessary or un warranted 8,3

It could be 'uncalled for' but it's difficult to know if you don't give the clue

Agatha could you please read the Posting Guidelines, particularly Clauses 2 and 3 relating to the heading of your thread and the clue details.

As it stands the heading is meaningless, please let me know which crossword you are referring to and I will amend it

Also Geting mentioned that the clue itself wasn’t very clear.

Thanks, Jazz, I’ve amended the heading accordingly. Lucky you posted when you did because was I going to delete the whole thread, the untidy heading made me cringe, it seriously offended my ex-Text Processing Supervisor’s hat😂
