Two (and a bit) questions, please

Where will I find the Inquisitor puzzle that is often mentioned.

I would like to do the Indy puzzle but it is hidden by an ad blocker. If I remove it for the Indy will it remove it for all other sites?

Do ad blockers do any good?

Thanks

I'm not 100% certain, but I think only subscribers can access the Inquisitor online. I buy the paper, the 'i', on Saturdays - only for the Inquistor.

PS I know nothing about adblockers, sorry.

1. Answerbank. Look for posts by “Rik”.
2. Depending on your ad blocker you should be able to add the Independent site to an “exceptions” list which unblocks it but not other sites.

Swarbrules, I’ve amended the heading to include the subject matter rather than “two questions”.

I’ve also inserted the @ symbol to indicate that it is a personal thread, rather than one asking for help on clues for a specific crossword.

Another thing you could try is to download the “Brave” browser.
This should allow you to bypass the thing on the Indi site that says you are using an ad blocker and won’t let you proceed.
Just tried it and it worked for me.

I use Firefox and the uBlock Origin extension, and can get right to the Indy puzzle with no ads and no notice that I am using an ad blocker.

This ad blocker in particular is quite good (even blocks ads on YouTube).

Thank you Norah and to others who have given and might, in the future, give helpful advice.
