I regularly do the RT crossword but occasionally attempt the Cryptic in the "i", Usually it's after I've managed to produce an answer (a matter of days) that I understand where the clue's coming from!

There are two in i 4213 that cause me problems!

20 Across - "Perfectly catching mice regularly, that'll be me! (6)" - TOMCAT. Obviously there's "CAT" in there - but the rest of it?

4 Down - "Cricket sides, including English, going extra day initially - not much good at getting runs? (3-6)" - ONE-LEGGED. Typically, as I type, it comes to me!
I'd got the GED (initials) and E for English, now I see "On Leg". Not being a cricket fan (forgive me), this is the demarcation of the pitch? Which is which I know not.

Thanks in anticipation

20a M(i)C(e) in [to a t] (perfectly)
4d you have all the component parts and on & leg are alternative names for the same side of a cricket pitch relative to the batsman on strike (and dependant on whether he's a right or left hander).

Thanks for that - I'd never have thought of the "to a t" connection!
