Everything complete other than the two letters that need to be swapped. Surely what the formation has now become is 3,7,6 - but I simply cannot see how this can be.

What is an abbreviation for your 3/7/6?

Sorry it should be 7/8/6

All done now - but the final requirement seems a little strange to me. A very clever and neat puzzle which, when the PDM comes, is very satisfying. Number one in the first, never in the second (sob).

buddy, I was thinking of TPL, not what is the 7/8/6.

Definitely not my specialist subject but a cracking piece of construction by Vismut. Producing the extras from the downs was a real tour de force I thought.

At the risk of scrambling Buddy’s brain because it is only very indirectly thematically related, I was reminded of the broadcast phrase “They’ll be dancing in the streets of Raith tonight.”

Imagine having a Wikipedia page, and more than 1/3 of it is devoted to that statement.

Definitely not my area of expertise either, but Wiki to the rescue as always. Once I saw what the 12 sides had in common the significance of the title became clear; very clever indeed.

Everything went in smoothly for me except for one major omission. I can only find two sides in the extra letters generated by the down clues.

Hi porthwick, from the preamble: down clues generate 3 extra letters as opposed to 2 from across clues.

Porthwick, do you have the side that consists of 3 words?
