Need help with 2 clues pls.
1. One word 9 letters ----P---D; clue: ideal TV is not perfectly animated.
2. One word 9 letters N-----I--; clue: verse used in Christmas carol connects different things.

Just back from 21st party, very drunk so don't trust myself wondered if second one was nativity but don't know why and don't really care. Going to bred now, good night.

TREVOR Thank you very much - especially for ignoring the 'P' I offered in the second word - 'vitalised" was so obviously correct I had to re-jig another answer to 'post hole' instead of 'lost hope' which is what I would have faced had I persisted with my original guess....
