I'm missing one letter. I have SU_AT for 26d. I also have questions about three clues.
14a: I have HIPT but don't get the US babies thing.
24a: I have POLOW but don't see why. I'm assuming it has to do with latitude zero but don't see where the P and W come from.
20d: I have LOW GEAR but only partially get the clue.

How did you get SURAT and what does it mean? I thought the other one had to be either PILOW or POLOW but don't get the clue. Thanks for 20d! I knew it had to be LOW GEAR but had a brain freeze and didn't see it as an anagram.
