(I've never actually heard his name expressed aloud! Reading Mattrom's last clue I may not have his pronounciation correct in clue 2. In which case;)

AFAIK (with high degree of confidence) the pronunciation used by mattrom is correct.

Geeker, apropos of nothing, thinking of WOOD-HOUSE, we used to joke with our younger siblings learning calculus: if the integral of dx/x = log x, what is the Integral of dcabin/cabin? They, usually, swiftly responded with LOG CABIN. We would then, with an air of superiority, say “no - it’s HOUSEBOAT, as it’s an indefinite integral so it’s LOG CABIN + C” . Must get out more.
