I have filled the grid including the unclued author and the perimeter.
Unfortunately I am not sure of all the extra words, so am struggling to know "how to cryptically represent the theme in the completed grid ".
Any hints ?
Thanks
Look in row 11 and appropriately colour a 6 letter word.
This should bring to mind a 10 letter word.
The border is 11,2,7,5,9,11. The 5th or perhaps 5th+6th
words in the border could be considered equivalent to the 10 letter
word.
By chance the author and the theme were featured in the presenter slot on 'Bargain Hunt' one day last week. The method of creating thematic items was interesting and some of the examples shown were quite eye-catching. My only 'problem' is finding the required shade to match what the perimeter suggests should be used.
